Ant's Hill is the second addition to The Ant Collection, a bush home similar to Ant's Nest; it derives its name from being based on one of the highest hills in the Waterberg. The lodge has been built on a ridge over looking a gorge offering magical views of plains, and distant hills as far as the eye can see. Not only offering a fabulous game viewing experience and a wide variety of activities, it is a superb place to just relax and watch the sun go down for those needing a well-deserved break.

Ant's Hill caters for a maximum of 10 guests; it is booked on an exclusive basis and run in exactly the same way as Ant's Nest. The emphasis at Ant's Hill is on offering guests a truly personal and flexible safari. There is no specific wake up times, guests can do what they want when they want, they can be as active or inactive as they like and more than one activity can be offered at any one time.

The Lodge

Ant's Hill has been creatively designed using natural stone and the finest local wood such as wild olives and acacia, together with the exotic furniture and brightly colored fabrics from Kenya making it truly unique. It is luxurious in a very comfortable and homely way. The large sitting room and dining room offer breathtaking views of the gorge and waterfall. Its large bi-folding doors create a very open feel to the lodge in the summer, whilst in winter the doors can be closed keeping you cosy in front of the roaring fire.

The large verandah has a deck, which over-hangs the gorge where guests can while a way the afternoon on large comfortable loungers. The infinity swimming pool is set in amongst the boulders overhanging the gorge and is surrounded by a lawned garden which is a safe haven for children to play in.

The rooms:

Each room has been uniquely designed hence all have different features. All the rooms are extremely spacious and have their own verandahs with comfortable lounging beds with large cushions.

There is one double room situated upstairs of the main lodge, furnished with a 7 ft by 7 ft four poster bed offering the best views down the valley from both the bed and the large verandah.

One honeymoon cottage is situated slightly further away and built with large bi-folding doors on two sides offering spectacular views all round. There is a bath with a view, plus indoor and outdoor showers and an open fire place.

The family cottage consists of two en suite bedrooms with a large central living room / dining room, mini bar and fireplace and large bi-folding doors which open out onto a deck. This cottage is ideal for families with children; meals can be served in the cottage on request. A small lawn at the back of the cottage is an ideal playing area for children.
