Guiding
Having professionally guided for many outfitters throughout the western US and Mexico for the past 22 years and Argentina for the past 5 years, I’m often times asked to accompany clients on various trips. In some cases I go along to capture the hunt on video and other cases I will accompany the client to assist in the guiding duties. Depending upon my time availability, the particular hunt and the outfitter’s policy, arrangements can typically be made without any problems. My daily rates vary depending on the hunt and duration.

A popular destination many clients have obtained my services is Desert Bighorn Sheep hunting in Mexico. I have built a solid relationship with several landowners in Sonora, Mexico and clients feel comfortable being accompanied by someone who is familiar with the logistics, properties and methods of hunting in the desert. If this is something of interest to you, give me a call and we can discuss this in more detail.

Outdoor Passport Exclusive: 2008 Argentina Red Stag Outdoor Passport, LLC invites you to come and hunt Estancia Collon Cura consisting of over 83,000 private acres located in the northern part of Patagonia, Argentina. This beautiful ranch takes in the eastern shores of the famous Collon Cura River and the foothills of the Andes Mountains where trophy Red Deer stage during the March roaring period. In 2004, Outdoor Passport guests were the first to hunt trophy red deer on this in five years and were seeing 50-75+ stags daily! The area provides excellent cover and terrain variance for both rifle hunters and archers to successfully spot and stalk trophy stags each day of their hunt. To enhance the guest’s experience, we have scheduled our hunts during the peak of the rut in mid to late March. Guests will find the roaring experience deafening at times!

After a day’s hunt, guests can enjoy the spectacular scenery from the full-modern lodge located a short distance from the river. Guests will be treated to a variety of well-known Argentine wines and will then take in a fabulous dinner such as Argentine beef, red deer, pastas and home-made breads to mention only a few. Sleeping arrangements are private and comfortable and each room with individual bathrooms can easily accommodate a hunting couple or two hunters per room.
